First, on Saturday, June 14, classic rock superstars and Rock & Roll
Hall of Fame inductees Eric Burdon and the Animals will rock the Spotlight
Showroom stage with one of the hottest classic rock concerts in the
country. The Animals created standards that put the word "classic" in the
term "classic rock" with hits like "House of the Rising Sun" and "Story of
Bo Diddley."
It is appropriate for the singer, author, actor, songwriter and
all-around performer Burdon to be back in concert. His autobiographical
song "The Road," contains the lyrics: "I don't live -- if I don't play this
rock 'n' roll." In concert with Burdon are a new group of Animals featuring
Eric McFadden on guitars, Paula O'Rourke on bass, Red Young on keyboards
and Tony Braunagel on drums.
Tickets for Eric Burdon and the Animals are $40 and $30. Only a few
tickets remain and are available now at Spotlight29.com and at the
Spotlight 29 Casino Gift Shop or by calling (800) 585-3737. Show time is 8
p.m.
The action heats up in the casino also on Saturday, June 14 with the
"Summer of Fun SeaDoo Giveaway." The casino is giving away not one, but TWO
race-ready SeaDoo personal watercrafts. To be exact, one lucky player will
win two 3-seater GTI SeaDoos, and a Triton Elite trailer with Tradesman
custom storage box to haul them to a favorite summer watering hole, care of
I-10 Motorsports.
Players can earn entries just for playing their favorite slots and
table games now through June 14. Then starting at 3 p.m. on June 14, lucky
winners' names will be drawn for cash prizes and the grand prize of the TWO
SeaDoos at 7 p.m., a perfect gift just in time for Father's Day.
Put the spotlight on fun at Spotlight 29 Casino, the Coachella Valley's
most exciting place to play. Spotlight 29 Casino is a business venture of
the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians. Turn it on at
